Aqualung regulator owners, you must have the equipment inspected and serviced annually in order to maintain your "Free Parts for Life" warranty. If you're asking us to do warranty work, please provide a complete warranty registration, the original receipt, and proof of service or a safety check within the last 12 months, depending on the manufacturer's specifications.

Scuba tanks must be within their current hydro inspection and we reserve the right to refuse a fill if we feel the tank or valve does not meet industry safety standards.

Get Your Annual Visual Inspection and More

At Azimuth Scuba, we require a current Visual Inspection (VIP) sticker for all tank fills and your hydro stamp also must be current.

We offer the VIP inspections on-site, which include external and internal examinations for a range of issues.
Damage
Bulges
Overheating
Dents
Gouges
Electrical arc scars
Pitting
Line corrosion
General corrosion
Cracks
Thread damage
Defacing of permanent markings
Color coding
If heavy corrosion is found, the tank may need to be tumbled to clean it out. The charge for the annual VIP, including a new sticker, is $35 and includes a free air fill. The fee for a light tumbling is $50 and cylinder whipping is $20.

Five-Year Hydrostatic Test

The United States Department of Transportation requires that scuba tanks be hydro tested every five years. We use a certified, outside facility to perform these tests and charge $75, which includes a free air fill.

Other services are often completed during your annual VIP process, including a tank valve servicing for $15 and a tank valve full rebuild for $45 plus parts.

The full rebuild includes removing the valve from the tank, complete disassembly, cleaning, replacement of worn parts, reassembly, lubrication, and testing.
